Some images just scream COLOR…..

While others are more suited for a really great black and white edit…

I love the classic and timeless feel that black and white images have. When I first started out in photography and was working with editing programs for the first time I was surprised to find how many different styles of black and white conversions there were. The image above was edited to give the image a light, airy feel to match the happiness of the moment. The image below was given a moodier edit to convey a heavier feel.

Each image is different and it is up the the artist to decide the mood and feeling that they want the image to convey. That is one of the great things about photography. I could give 5 photographers the same image and each edit would be a little different to reflect the feeling they wanted the image to have.  There is no right or wrong in art!
