I have been holding on to these images for MONTHS and it’s been killing me!
Back in October I designed and photographed this styled shoot for a local wedding magazine, The Southern Social. The idea was to create a unique styled shoot that would be featured in the magazine, as well as part of a new local bridal show. Because of this, I haven’t been able to share these images anywhere online….UNTIL NOW! The magazine feature went live yesterday which means that I am now free to share all these amazing images with the world!
This shoot was something that I had envisioned for a while but needed all the pieces to fall into place to make a reality. The idea was formed out of my love for all things southwest desert, mixed with my recent obsession with the fashion and vintage vibe of the 1970’s.
Once I knew I wanted to bring this idea to life, I reached out to a few of my favorite wedding vendor friends to start the wheels rolling. We had florals, hair/make-up and the model. Now we needed an amazing location!
Not just ANY wedding venue would do! I wanted something that would really give us that Palm Springs desert vibe….in Texas! I was basically looking for a miracle. THEN, I came across the Texican Court. A new boutique motel in the heart of DFW that was the perfect setting for my vision come to life.
Once we had the perfect venue….everything else starting falling into place and the magic started to happen. The day of the shoot was PERFECTION. Great weather, amazing models, perfect set-up….it was a photographer’s dream!
The only downside was that once I had all these stunning images…..I couldn’t share them. It was TORTURE!
Sooo….after months of waiting, here they are! My 1970’s Palm Spring vision come to life.
A HUGE thank you to all the vendors that made this happen. I couldn’t have done it without you!
