Apr 22, 2019

So your wedding is just around the corner and in between sorting out all the floral arrangements and testing out cake flavors with your soon-to-be-hubby, it hits you that you’ve been neglecting your skin a bit.

Hey, don’t be too hard on yourself, we know that while planning a wedding is exciting, it can be a little stressful too!

We’ve taken the stress out of your skin care routine by sharing 6 pre-wedding skin care tips to help keep your skin healthy and radiant so you can glow with confidence on your big day!

Be consistent

Now is not the time to slack off with your skin care routine or to try new products if your current ones are working well.

Stick to a simple, yet effective cleanse, tone and moisturize regime every day; morning and night.

Stick to all natural, organic products that will infuse your skin with real, nutrient-rich ingredients for visible results.

Avoid harsh peels or exfoliants too close to the day

Hey, we love a good exfoliation to slough odd dead skin cells and reveal glowing, radiant skin!

However, treatments like peels and microdermabrasion should be done a good 6 weeks before the day to make time for your skin to calm down from any possible flare-ups that could arise. So if you have an appointment booked the day before, you may want to reschedule! On the other hand, if you are in a pinch and need a quick fix then try a gentle natural facial peel a day or so before the big day as opposed to a more potent treatment.

Stick with the sunscreen

Sunscreen is a holy grail product for healthy, youthful skin all year round!

Be sure to slather yours in natural SPF of at least 30 or higher every time you head outdoors to keep your skin healthy and wedding ready!

Drink loads of water

Hydration is so important for youthful skin, but applying hydrating products is simply not enough.

Be sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your skin clear, supple and plump and add in some lemon for an anti-aging vitamin c boost!

Do take your makeup off before bed

There may be more than a few evenings where it will more super tempting to skip taking off your makeup after a long day of work and wedding planning, but the last thing you want now is dull skin with a chance of breakouts! No matter how tired you are, make it a rule to not hit the sheets till your face is clean and scrubbed. Make sure to use a natural makeup remover to avoid potentially irritating your eyes with conventional ingredients.

Find ways to manage your stress

This is absolutely a skin care tip! Finding ways to manage your stress will not only help to keep you sane, it will keep your skin looking its best too!

Find time in between all the planning to unwind with some deep breathing or yoga or find some good company and hit up a scenic trail.

We hope these tips help you to enjoy beautiful skin right up until, and on, the big day! And beyond of course!
