I love water! There is just something so relaxing about it. I love it in all forms- oceans, pools, lakes, ponds, creeks, rain or even just a hot shower. Some of my favorite memories revolve around water. Several years ago when my husband and I decided to buy a boat I was so excited. We have spent many weekends floating around the lake, wake boarding, tubing  and watching the sun set. This year we introduced Brinley to the boat and she loved it! It is going to be even more fun now that we can hang out on the lake as a family!

 Last summer Brinley loved the pool and swimming so this year we thought we would try swim lessons. Unfortunately they did not go so well….

So instead of spending too much time in the pool, we spend a lot of our time playing with our splash pad in the back yard.

I also love incorporating water into my photo sessions and earlier this month I had the opportunity to shoot two really fun “trash the dress” sessions. The first one was for a HS student in her prom dress. I asked her if she would mind getting a little wet and she was happy to….so we jumped in the creek 🙂

 The next session was a bridal “trash the dress” and it was probably one of the most fun sessions I have done. We started by covering her dress in colored powder, then I told her to roll around in the water. She was more than happy to (how am I so lucky to have such amazing clients) and I love how they turned out!
